Grooming FAQs
We know grooming can feel intense for any pet. Our honest approach pairs low-pressure care with clear communication for you and your dog, ensuring every session is as comfortable and stress-free as it can possibly be.

Common Concerns
How do you handle dogs with extreme anxiety?
Will my dog be kept in a cage between tasks?
What happens if my dog becomes too stressed?
Grooming is naturally high-stress, and every dog reacts differently. I rely on my deep industry experience and intuition to read their body language, ensuring they feel secure. I will split or adjust appointments to suit your dog's personal needs.
Because I work one-on-one, I rarely have a reason to place your dog in a kennel. That said, comfortable kennel time is still an important skill for dogs to have in case of emergencies or for their own safety.
Safety and comfort come first. If a dog reaches an anxiety threshold, we stop the session immediately and call you. We prefer to finish the groom over split sessions rather than causing long-term trauma.
Health & Safety
How we keep your dog safe during every visit
What vaccinations are required for my dog?
Because I don’t board dogs or have many dogs in the same space at once, I only require Rabies and Distemper vaccines. I do recommend other core vaccines as well for your dog’s overall health and safety.
How do you handle medical emergencies?
Safety is our priority. If an emergency occurs, we will immediately contact you and the nearest emergency veterinarian while providing calm first aid care.
Do you use cages or drying cabinets?
I occasionally use a dryer cage for efficiency or if a dog finds it more soothing than handheld tools. Generally, I use a variable-speed force dryer to customize the airflow to your pet's comfort. I never force a dog’s face to be blow-dried if they dislike it. In those cases, I will trim the face while damp and provide a free follow-up visit to tidy it once it is naturally dry.
What if my dog has skin sensitivities or allergies?
My booking portal will ask if your dog has any allergies, so please be sure to note them there. I use a hypoallergenic shampoo with no oatmeal to help support dogs with sensitivities, and I always encourage owners to bring their own shampoo or conditioner if there’s a specific product they’d like me to use.

Appointment Length
Anxious pets take a little longer. Expect a session to last between 2 to 4 hours, allowing enough time for your pet to settle and enjoy the process without stress.
Cancellation Policy
We request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer the space to another pup in our community who may be waiting for a calm grooming slot.
